Capt John Moodie in the Brig Betsy Belonging to the Continent and bound to Maryland for a load of Iron, to build the ship of Warr in this state having Occassion to come into your state to repair some damages he receiv'd by being ashore on point Judith, I request your kind Aid & Assistance in furnishing him with what he may have occassion for to enable him to perform his voyage and give him all possible dispatch the Iron being much wanted, here being none to be purchas'd in this state his draft will meet due honour ー I am Sir [&c.]
