A Ship of about 260 Tons, commanded by Capt. Flagg, laden with Lumber, &c. which sailed from Portsmouth, the Beginning of last Week, for the West-Indies,1 was met with and taken by the Lively Man of War, the Captain of which put two Officers and five Sailors on board her, in order to carry her to Boston. Soon after a Privateer from Beverly luckily came across the Ship, as she was going into Boston, retook and carried her into Cape-Ann. On Saturday last [September 9] the seven Prisoners taken on board the Prize, were brought to Town, and committed to the Care of the Main-Guard.2
