On Wednesday [August 23] a small ship bound to America, was stopped in the Bristol channel, on an information given that she was carrying out some warlike ammunition to the Provincials, and on searching her, there were found a great number of musquets.
An order in Council was on Wednesday issued, prohibiting the exportation of gunpowder, and of arms and ammunition, for three months; and also revoking all licenses which have been hitherto granted for the exportation of gunpowder, &c. during the same time.
