In Congress. [Charleston] Tuesday, November 14, 1775.
On motion, Resolved, That Clement Lampriere, Esq; be appointed Captain and Commander of the ship Prosper, now fitting and arming in the colony service. That Capt. Thomas Sherman, be appointed first Lieutenant of the said ship. And that the officering, manning, and the wages of the officers and seamen, be at the same rates as of the scooner Defence.
Ordered, That Mr. President do issue commissions accordingly, for officering the said ship.
Ordered, That Capt. Thomas Savage, Mr. George-Abbott Hall, Mr [Michael] Kalteisen, and Capt. Leger, be added to the Commissioners for fitting out and arming the ship Prosper, taken into the service of the colony.
