The representation of the Committee of the town of Salem was yesterday Laid before his Excelly ー he orders me to assure you, that it will give him great pleasure to Contribute towards the particular Safety of the Town & Inhabitants of Salem, when he Can do it Consistant with that attention he must pay to the defence of the whole ー the shot taken on board the prize is very much wanted at Camp ー what are in Cases Cannot possibly be Spared what are Loose in the Hold Consist of two Sorts, twelves & Sixes ー of these they may have the small assortment demanded ー they giveing an Obligation to repay the same or their value, in order that the Continent or the Captors May not be deprived of their right ー on showing this to Captain William Bartlett & Capt. John [Jonathan] Glover Agents for the prize they will deliver the shot Conformable to the Conditions above mentioned ー
