Sir The two thousand Pounds Sterling I sent to France to purchase Powder, I have not yet heard of their fate, but I desired my Corespondent there if the. Bills were paid and he found any difficulty to get the Powder freighted to this Island, then to remit the Amount to my friend in Holland, in Order to send the Amount out in Dry Goods on my Acct now should that be the Case, I will Stand Accountable to you for the Amount, as there was no other way to get the Money here, Should the Powder Arrive I will also hold it at your disposal. ー
