These will in form you of my arovall hear the 9 Instant after lucking at Martiniqua Guadloop St Eustatius & could Not obtain one pound of molasses2 under 6 Livers pr lb I could had the kings store oppend at bearster [Basse Terre] Guadloop & had wat quantey I would perviding I would a given 130 Jons3 pr thousand ー thay take the advanteadg of our Necessety Mr Jenings wass at Portrico Wen I arovd at Statia, & on that acompt I could not gat my money Changd which I am afeard the consequance Will be grate varey lettel molasses to be had at Statia and a fine of 1000 gdrs & 3 mounths Imprisenment if aney dutch Merchat . . . in Statia should dispose of one pound to aney New England men pupleshtd at the Hage the 22d March 1775 ー the said fine or act is in full fours through out all the dutch & dienish West Indys
