Vice Admiral Sir James Douglas, Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels at Portsmouth, having acquainted Us by his Letter of Yesterday's date of his having sent the 70 Prisoners brought to England in the Tartar, on board the Centaur at Spithead, & that they are desirous (the Officers excepted) of entering into the King's Service. We send Your Lordship a Copy of Sir James Douglas's Letter for His Majesty's Information, submitting it to His Majesty whether it may not be advisable to permit the said Prisoners to enter on board the King's Ships as they desire.
