By a Vessel from the West Indies, we learn, that the Effects of Non-exportation from this Continent, begins to be severely felt in the Islands, where the most ordinary Beef sells from 7 to 8 l. per Barrell, ordinary Flour at 6 l. per Barrel, Currency, and but little to be had at any Price. The Islanders (not believing there would be a Scarcity) have, till lately, kept the Produce of the Colonies very low; but finding a Scarcity likely to take Place, the Price suddenly rose. ー They are under terrible Apprehensions from the Negroes, whom they are obliged to pinch in their Allowance.
