RECEIVED of Mr. Christopr ChamplinAgent to the Contractor for supplying His Majesty's Ships at Newport Rhode Island with Fresh Beef between the 2d Day of ---- and the 21 Day of Jany. 1775 Two thousand & Sixty Pounds of Fresh Beef, for the Use of His Majesty's Ship the Hind all which said Beef was actually delivered on board in Kind, and was in all Respects good and fit for his Majesty's Service; for which I have signed Three Receipts of this Tenor and Date. Given under my Hand, and dated on board the said Ship in Newport this 21 Day of Jany. 1775
I Chris. Champlin do voluntarily make Oath, That Two thousand & Sixty Pounds of Fresh Beef, mentioned in the above Receipt, from Mr. John Murray Purser, of his Majesty's Ship the Hind was actually delivered on board His Majesty's said Ship in Kind between the 2d Day of ---- and the 21 Day of January 1775 and that I neither have paid or given, or am to pay or give the Purser, or any other Person or Persons whatsoever, any Money or other Consideration whatsoever, in Lieu of all or any Part of the said Beef.
