Capt. David Hawley, of Stratford, in a small privateer, in the States service,1 one day last week, captured three small vessels, to the westward of Huntington; two of them were loaded with wood, from Long Island, bound to New York; the other had taken in a cargo of provisions at Derby, which the Skipper pretended was to be carried to New London, where the vessel was owned, but in fact was bound to New York; they are all in safeports.
