We received yours of the first Instant & wish it was in our power to Comply fully with your request1 but the State of our Treasury is very low[.] however We have from a Conviction of the Absolute Necessity you are Under for money Strained a Vein & Ventured to Supply you with a very great proportion of what we have in the office Amounting to fifteen hundred dollars which please to carry to our Credit- I am sir [&c]
