Sir —
I am directed by his Honor the Governor to acquaint you that A Privateer belonging to this place arrived here this morning, who took a light Transport ship, being one of the 130 Sail bound from New York to Great Britain and the West Indies, under Convoy of Three Ships of War, and which without doubt is the Same Fleet that we received information was taking on board a Body of Troops at Staten Island.
