Gentlemen —
Captain [Edward] Travis of the Brig Rawleigh is now on a cruise Shou'd he send or bring any Prize or Prizes into any of the French Ports, you are desired to proceed to have them condemn'd and sold, and distribute the Money in the following manner to wit, if a Merchant Vessel one half of the nett proceeds to the Captain and Crew, and the other half you are desir'd to tetain in your hands, and if a Man of War or Privateer then the whole to be paid to the Captain and Crew, but if the Captain or commanding officer of the said Brigg shou'd not make application for their part of the Prize or Prizes, you are to keep the whole in your hands till' further orders ー
Shou'd Captain Travis be obligd to put into any of your Ports you are desir'd to furnish him with such necessaries as he may be in want of for the use of his Brigg ー
