In Council Janry 25th 1776
Ordered that John Stone of York in the County of York be permitted to proceed in the Sloop [blank] from the Port of Dartmouth on a Voyage to the Colony of Connecticut to procure a load of provisions He giving Bond to the Comttee of Correspondence for sd Town of York that He will bring the same into some port in this Colony, Boston & Nantuckett excepted ー and that it be & it hereby is recommended to the good people of the Colony of Connecticut that the sd Stone be supplyed with such provisions &c as he may want to purchase being a Friend to the common Cause of the United Colonies
