Loyd's Head1 NNW 1½ Miles— at 6. AM. landed 43. marines from the different vessells, & 20. Refugees, in Stanford harbor,2 burned a Rebell Galley, fired 4: 24 Pounders round & Grape, & 4: 4 Prs: with Do: to Scour the woods, before the troops landed, at 8 AM. the troops Embarked, Do: weighed & made Sail, at noon anchored with the best bower off Loyd's beech in 12 fms. Wr. veered to ½ Cable Loyd's head SE ¼ S. D. 3 miles.
