The foregoing is Copy of ours ⅌ The Continental Brig: Resistance.—We have the pleasure to acquaint you The Hazard & Tyrannicide¹ sailed yesterday in Company with The Brig Lion of Salem mounting 16 Guns;² Cap^t. Sampson has undoubtedly mentioned to you that the Hazard answers every Purpose she was intended for & may justly be Called the finest vessel of her Burthen ever built.—We now inclose you Acc^t: Sales of The Prize Brig Polly's Cargo, Acc^t. Disbursements for the Hazard & Tyrannicide, Cap^ts. Sampson & Haraden's rec^s. for what paid them on Acc^t: of Rations due to them till the 14^th. inst: likewise rec'ts for £1000 #³ to each of them which they Demanded by virtue of y^r. Letter of 17^th: Nov^r. Empowering them to Draw for £100 Sterling, this Affair of rations was entirely new to us & we were at a loss how to Conduct ourselves in it, hav^g. never been favoured w^th. y^r. Orders on that head, w^ch: we hope we shall Shortly receive, as likewise y^r. instructions on every other Occasion.—Inclosed also is y^r. Acc^t. Curr^t. Ball^a. due us 33,431.14.4 Livres #, which we hope on Examination you will find right; The Hospital Bill for The Tyrannicide is not included as there are now many sick remaining (as ⅌ Inclosed List.) We imagine the Am^t. will be four or five thousand Livres.—We refer you to the foregoing Letter concerning the Disadvantage we labour under, in advancing our money & we shall be particularly obliged to you, if you wo^d. Converse w^th: our father on this Subject, who will Acquaint you with all particulars.—
