Norwich [Conn.] 5^th May 1778

Gentlemen

I Wish to know What is become of the ship General Hancock,¹ as Soon as I am Inform'd She has Sailed & Her Acc^ts. are Made out—Intend Going to Boston & Settle w^th. you, am afraid the Ship Will be Foul before She Goes to Sea.—had She been here She might have been Manned in Three Weeks.—however I dare Say you have done all in your power.—I am with [&c.]
