To all whom it may concern.
Notice is hereby given, that Libels are filed before me, against the armed Schooner Margaritta, burthen about 50 Tons, James Moore late Commander, against the Sloop Unity, Ichabod Jones, late Master, burthen about 80 Tons, against the Sloop Polly, burthen about 90 Tons, Nathaniel Horton, late Master, against the armed Schooner Diligent, burthen about 100 Tons, Lieut. John Knight late Master, and his armed Cutter, the Talmagush; against the Schooner Susunnah, burthen about 25 Tons, ー Phillips late Master, all which Vessels, their Appurtenances and Cargoes werk taken (for carrying Supplies to the Enemies of the United States of America, and infesting the Sea Coast) and brought into the Eastern District aforesaid, and the Maritime Court for said District will be held at the Meeting House in the East Precinct of Pownalborough, on Monday the Ninth Day of September, 1776, at the hour of Ten in the forenoon, to try the Justice of the said Captures; and all Persons claiming Property in said Vessels or Cargoes, or are any ways concerned therein, may appear and shew cause, if any they have, why the same Vessels, or either of them with their Appurtenances and Cargoes should not be condemned.
