Know all Men by these Presents, That we Bartolemis Susaris of the Island of Hispaniola Mariner as Principal, and Paul Allen of Providence in the County of Providence in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations as Surety, are held and firmly bound unto the Governor and Company of the said State in the Sum of Twelve Hundred Pounds Lawful Money, to be paid to the said Governor and Company, for the Use of said State: To which Payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, and each of us and them, for and in the whole, jointly and severally, firmly by these Presents. Now the Condition of this Obligation is such, That if the said Barto-lemis Susaris who is Master of the Brigg called the Victory and now bound on a Voyage, with said Brig and her Cargo, to the Island of Hzspaniola shall in all Things, during and respecting said Voyage, truly observe the Regulations made by the Most Honorable the Continental Congress, and this General Assembly, concerning Trade, and for securing the Observance of such Parts of the Association as are not inconsistent therewith, and shall, within Eighteen Months after the Departure of the said Brigg produce to Henry Ward, Esq; Intendant of Trade at Providence, in said State, or to his Successor in said Office, a Certificate from the proper Officers at the Port or Place where the Cargo of the said Brzgg shall be delivered (provided it be within the United States, and proper Officers are appointed) or otherwise under the Hands and Seals of three or more reputable Merchants residing there, that the same was there unladed, then this Obligation shall be void, or else in full Force.
