Another owner's bond was entered into the same day by Joseph Almy of Tiverton, guaranteeing the return from Hispaniola of the sloop Lydia, Ezekiel Dennis, to whom permission to sail had been given on January 5th, 1777, by the Rhode Island Council of War. The Lydia's outward cargo was horses and fish.
