at 10 A M came on board a boat maned & Armed from the Preston, & Genl Clinton with 300 men in Flatt Bottom Boats at ½ past they landed on Phipp's Farm, at 11 sen[t 8] Flatt Bottom Boats on shore to Bring off the Cattle: the Rebells Firing of Cannon Shott from Winter Hill at the Troops & boats, at noon the Troops Reimbarked with 13 Head of Cattle, at ½ past a great number of the Rebells, came upon a Hill, fired 35 Gu[ns] with Round and Grape at them, the Troops returned to Charlesto[wn]
