May it please your Excellency,
I had the honour to deliver you a letter of introduction in June last, from William Lux esq; of Baltimore, in which he mentioned my intention of settling at Cape Nichola Mole, in Hispaniola, in Character of Agent for the Commonwealth of Virga — I have hither to been prevented by a variety of accidents, but have now taken my passage, and expect to depart in a few days — Should any of the publick vessells of your State try that market, or should it be found convenient to direct any of your prizes into that port, I shall be happy in an opportunity of serving you.
