at 2 AM the Rebel Gallies Came Down the River, with 2 Fire Rafts. the Gallies fired Several Shots at our Ships. but they was Oblidged soon to Run up the River, at 1 PM Received on Board from the Pearl 2 Twelve Pounders and Put them on the Forecastle. at 9 AM Anchord off Chester His Majestys Ships Summerset Reasonable & lcis. Chester W ½ S 3 or 4 Miles. Rowd. Guard.
