Mode. & Clear at 1 PM sat the Fore Sail at 3 Saw 2 Sail to Windward Out all Reefs up Top Gallt. Yards and gave Chace at 7 TKd Ship [at] ½ past 8 Spoke the Chace it prov'd His Majesty's Ship Orpheus who was in chace also. Gave Chace In Comy with her at 11 Came up with the Chace which prov'd a brig in Ballast from Marble Head bound to Carolina2
