Sir,
This serves to acknowledge the Receipt of your favor ⅌ Mr [Charles] Taliaferro's Vessel with a quantity of Cordage— On examination I find there is not a sufficiency sent down,—and as there is a very pressing occasion for fitting out several Boats, now on the Stocks I beg the favour you'll take this opportunity Pr Capt Young in a Schooner belonging to this State1 of sending down the undermentioned Articles,2 for which with those already received, I'll procure the sanction of the Hon'ble the Navy Board whose wishes to facilitate the Business must corroborate with ours—I am [&c.]
