Know all Men by these Presents That we Ambrose Page Joseph Russell and Wiliam Russell all of Providence in the County of Providence and Colony of Rhode Island &c. Merchants are held and firmly bound unto Joseph Clarke Esquire General Treasurer of the said Colony in the Sum of Four Hundred Pounds Lawful Money to be paid to the said Joseph Clarke in his said Capacity or to his Successors in said Office for the Use of the said Colony to which Payment well and truly to be made we bind Ourselves and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these Presents. Whereas Jonathan Donnison Master of the Schooner Success is bound by Permission of the Honble Nicholas Cooke Esqr Governor of the said Colony a Voyage with the said Schooner to the Island of Hispaniola. Now the Condition of this Obligation is such That if the said Jonathan Donnison shall in all Things during and respecting said Voyage Conform himself to the Rules and Regulations of the Continental Congress, then this Obligation shall be void or else in full Force.
