There is also a Soldier taken Prisoner in the enga[ge]ment [on] Long Island night before last whose name is John Wright Augt. 28th 1776.
[First endorsement] Samp Town August 30 1776 Recd, of John Treat Crane Nineteen Men & Two Boys which I am to safly keep in Custody till 31st of sd. August & then to return them Over to the Aforesd. John T. Crane tomorrow Morning Witness my Hand
