Be it Enacted by the Council and General Assembly of this State, and it is hereby Enacted by the Authority of the same, That it shall and may be lawful for the Governor or Commander in Chief for the Time being, with the Consent of the Council, any three whereof to be a Quorum, to establish, by Ordinance or Commission, a Court of Admiralty; and also such and so many Custom-Houses, with their necessary Officers, to be commissioned by the Governor or Commander in Chief for the Time being, as to the said Commander in Chief and Council shall appear expedient and necessary; provided, that this Act shall be and continue in Force for one Year, and from thence to the End of the next Session of General Assembly, and no longer.
