[Ticonderoga] Monday 14th [October] Last evening about sunset two Schooners, one shallop, 1 Gundalo and one Row galley; being the whole of our fleet which remained out of 16 sail that were not destroyed or taken by the enemy, arrived at the Garrision. Several of our vessels were obliged to strike to them, some being disabled by their shot made for the shore, ran aground, set fire to their vessels and made their escape, and this evening upwards of 160 have arrived safe in Camp. A flag, from the enemy is now here, of 150 men, with whom came Genl Waterbury, the contents are not yet known.
