My Lords Commrs of the admty having received a Memorial from the Merchants trading to the River Mississippi and West Florida, praying that orders may be given for a Ship of War to cruize at the Mouth of the Mississippi for the protection of the Trade, and to rendezvous there between the 15 of March and the 1st of april next, or at Pensacola or such other convenient place as shall be thought meet; and to take the Trade bound from the Mississippi, Mobile, and Pensacola under her Convoy quite home; I am commanded by their Lordships to send you the in closed Copy of the said Memorial, and to signify their direction to you to appoint a Convoy for the Trade beforementioned accordingly if it can be done consistently with the other important Services entrusted to your care I am &c
