Several buildings were burnt on Charlestown Neck by our people. The ships fired ten shot at them. Two ships came in (one brought in a sloop with some live stock) one of which was supposed to come from England, as she was saluted by the castle and Admiral2 Lodg'd at Gen'l [John] Thomas's.
