Navy Board [Charleston] Saturday 19th. October 1776
The following Letter was sent to Mr. Anthy. Bonneau
Chas Town 19th Octobr. 1776
Sir The Commissioners of the Navy are in want of 100 Bbls hard Pitch 100 Bbls Tarr & 20 Bbls good Clean Turpentine, the Casks to be very good, Also any quantity of Tallow that can be Procured; they will be glad that you will Purchase and ship them by any good Opportunity for Charles Town, & as Speedily as possible the above Articles for the Amot. of which your Order on the Commissioners of the Navy will be punctually paid ー The Commissioners are informed that you have a Quantity of Cordage by you such as the Public are at present in want, of ー They will be glad to have it sent round to Charles Town at the same time as the Naval stores are shipped; also any other Cordage, and sail-duck that you can purchase at George Town, for which your order will be paid.

Capt. Stephen Seymour applyed to the Board to know what Number of Men would be allowed for the Schooner Rattle Snakeー
And the Board Resolved to allow the said Vessell Fifty men as her full Complement.ー
