Just as Setting off for Baltim[ore] Capt [William] Patterson inform'd me, had he a Recruting Warrant He Would be Able to pick up a good many Men, Your kind indulgence in given him a Warrant to recrute for the Defence, or any Others that niay be able to gett men in the Service of this State, will Lay me under the greates Obligations, and is Dear Sr [&c.]
