Mr Wm Augustus Dashiell whom I recomendd as Mate under me did attend the Same Time but he has not got a Comission yet. Dr Budd arivd 2 Days after the Ship Defence returnd. when he went on Board Mr. Nathan Dorsey arivd the Evening the Defence Set off from the Wharf and thus went on Board. Mr Dashiell was one of those that went out with the ship Defence in place of Dr Budd. Dr Coulter and Beard went likewise out with the Defence
