Sir.
I have received your letter of Yesterday and thank you for the Steps you have taken for the Safety of the Charming Nancy Transport,
As it is of the Utmost Consequence to Seize all Vessels loaded with Provisions, as well to distress the Rebels, as to be of use to his Majesty's liege Subjects here, I should be glad you would give Orders to all the Ships, and Vessels, under your Command, to be Vigilant, in looking out for, and Searching all Vessels and to Secure such as may have provision Arms or Ammunition on board, and not suffer them to enter into any of the Ports of this Province but Boston where it would be proper to send them Immediately.ー
