This Day fair & moderate Weather, I am now waiting for a fair wind only, to go to Sea. in the afternoon the Body of Hans Persons1 was sent on shore at Port Lewis & deciently buried, Mr- Reed2 1st Lieut- went on shore & Mr- Cooper3 read prayers over his Corpse.

1. Persons had been sick and delirious for four or five days before dying on the 26 July.
