Au Coucher du Soleil, la brume est devenu plus forte que ce matin j’ai Couru des bords, et entendu dix Coups de Canon, même navigation pendant toute la nuit.

The fog prevented us from reconnoitering the Zelé1 before 10 o’clock. The wind to the S., weak the cape to the W. At noon the wind passed to the SSW, and the fog had dissipated enough to permit us to raise Block Island
