On motion by letter from Maj. Ledyard,1 that he is in want of more cannon for the fort at Groton &c.: Voted, that said Maj. Ledyard be impowered to borrow from the ship Trumbull2 as many 12 or 9 pounders and carriages as he shall judge necessary; and that said Ledyard be directed to hire and employ two carpenters to finish the platforms at Fort Griswold or Groton.
